The SmartGeometry workshop is an annual event which attracts an impressive array of tutors and attendees from across the worlds of academia and professional practice as well as many of the brightest students. The workshop is open to 100 applicants who come together for four days of intensive design and collaboration. SG2010 Workshop in Barcelona is organised around the challenge of Working Prototypes. Attendees are challenged to design, assemble, and test working prototypes. Workshop attendees will be using the latest in digital fabrication technology including CNC milling machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, robotics, and more. The workshop is composed of ten clusters. Clusters are hubs of people, expertise, and machinery. Each Cluster is championed by two tutors who are pioneers in their field. The SG2010 Workshop is held 19th-22nd March. Those participating in the Workshop will also receive passes to attend the subsequent 2-day Conference. |
